and as a psychiatrist explained it to me once, you lose your inhibitions. I have no idea why this seems to translate into sex and shopping so much but there are other things. All the feelings of omnipotence ,the euphoria, the feeling connected to god, feeling like I can heal people and have psychic abilities. Start planning my route into Harvard for astro physics lol. Its not just a rush we seek.
I DO seem much more intelligent and capable when I'm manic so there is something to be said about that.
