On the other hand, I wouldn't expect too much from the Russian education system. I was taught a single foreign language, often by a person who didn't know it that well herself. It was in the early 2000s, and could be a freak exception, but with the current economic situation and nationalist mood I doubt the things are a lot better... Of course, you can just have rich parents and get into a private school. Or perhaps study yourself on the internet, where resources have become significantly more abundant?
