I was cut off from benzos for substance abuse while manic. That was 2 years ago and ive been clean since. I had no drugs or alcohol in my system when the nurse lractitioner suddenly discontinued my benzos. Im in withdrawal and the only thing that helps is a beer, 3 or 4 a day. I dont get drunk, just "buzzed" all day to not feel the horrible anxiety. Ive never been an alcoholic but am afraid i will be now. I also have celiacs so beer should have been a big no. It just keeps me calm. Im just afraid of going down this road. I was told to go to the ER, but have had horrible expieriences at the er so would like to ride out the storm. My choices today were not good.
