I have the semicolon tattoo. I got it three weeks ago and the only thing I regret is not doing it months ago. For me, it's a symbol of what I promised my husband a few days before he died---he made me promise to stay alive until it's time for me to go. So I have no choice but to remain here on earth and try to be as happy as I can be...it's what he would've wanted for me.
