I'm so sorry he has akathesia. That is so miserable. I guess though it is better to have that happen while he is IP and they can treat it aggressively and immediately; the time I had it worst I went through a couple of weeks of trying OP (I was recovering from surgery so my pdoc tried to avoid sticking me in the hospital) before going IP and it was such a relief when I was IP and they made it go away.

I think akathesia is a risk with older drugs; I know that my pdoc is trying to avoid them with me because I've had a lot of issues with akathesia and other types of EPS on various drugs. That's one reason I'm on clozapine; lower risk of those things.

I hope he feels better very soon.
