What other medications have you tried and have you given them enough time to really work for you? Are you working with a pdoc/therapist? It can take time for psych meds to kick in ~ they're not an instant fix and many do come with side effects...but they usually only last a short while until your metabolism adjusts. It's hard trying to be patient but it's the only way and it's worth it in the end run.
BTW, don't mix and match medications on your own as you may not be aware of the potential interactions which can sometimes be severe.
