I'm so sorry... that must hurt very much.

When my granny was in the nursing home, with dementia, I was really the only person that went to see her regularly. I can't even imagine not being allowed that.

Is there something you can do today, for you and to honor her? Maybe she had a favorite meal that she would cook... you could make it for yourself. That kind of thing.

I wish there was a way to make your family not mean, like a magic wand or fairy dust, but there's not. The situation isn't nice, at all, but it is what it is. So, taking care of yourself is what's important.
