please ask him not to do that.
My husband and I get in spats about this issue. I'll be sitting there drinking my coffee and he will walk in a dump a huge load of crappy bad news in me head before he even says good morning.

(he's a Fox News addict)
I don't like to start my day like that dammit!
Like the others said, hysterical bad news gets ratings. There is a lot of good out there. It is a beautiful world. There is a website out there called "The Good News Network" I follow it on Facebook, so I get some good news mixed in with the usual crazy stupid chit on Facebook.
