I've dropped almost 100 lbs. in the past 14 months even on multiple meds. I lost my appetite when my hubby died and didn't get it back for awhile; when it did come back, my stomach capacity was less than half of what it used to be and it's been like that ever since.
The first 40 lbs. or so basically fell off. I've worked a little at the last 55 lbs, but other than drinking water instead of soda and eating less bacon, sausage, chips, and other greasy foods, I haven't changed my eating habits all that much. I don't exercise either. I just eat like a normal person and never eat after 8 PM.
As a result of losing this weight, I am no longer diabetic and I'm off meds. My blood pressure is now borderline low and my cholesterol numbers are fabulous. My back and knees don't hurt anywhere near as much as they used to, and I can do normal things like walk around a shopping mall and go to the grocery store; I used to be unable to walk more than a couple hundred feet without my back hurting, and getting winded in the bargain. Even though I'm still considered morbidly obese, I haven't weighed this little since I was in nursing school 22 years ago and I look SO much better.
At my highest weight ever I was 362 lbs, so I've actually lost over 110 lbs altogether. I'm now under 250. I want to get down to about 165, which is still technically overweight, but I think it's a reasonable goal given the amount of time I've been obese (since mid-20s).
