Does anyone feel like their ptsd has caused physical health problems? I was just informed that my kidneys are not functioning like they should for someone my age (43 male). I think it's from chronic, repeated "fight or flight", and I'm not surprised. It makes sense, it wears you down. When I was 38 years old I had shingles (typically seen in elderly people) and my immune system is worn down. My primary coping mechanism is intense exercise and weightlifting, so that hopefully is offsetting some of it. I've also taken a stress test and worn a heart monitor overnight, but luckily it didn't show anything (that I know of). I also have mixed sleep apnea with a predominantly central apnea. I feel like I'm like 25 years older than I am. There are a few other things but I don't know for sure. Of course when researching the Internet you can pretty much find that anything can affect anything. .

Does anyone else have anything similar? Thoughts? Opinions?
