Thanks, not too many words at all. Thank you for replying and for your thoughts

It's funny isn't it? People just seem to talk for talking sake -- instead of communicating. It's like they are so uncomfortable with *not* talking that they will talk to fill the void before thinking. --- And here are some of us with issues who think endlessly before we talk.
Sorry I haven't had anything to say about your doctor troubles. I'm not familar with the system in the UK.
It sounds like you might be having trouble communicating with various health professionals. You mentioned in another post that the doctor "inferred" that he wanted you to try the medication first. That doesn't sound like a good understanding. Is there anyone who might go with you to appointments? I've done that for a couple of people who were anxious, forgetful, or just felt they couldn't communicate well with a health provider. As long as they are just there in a support role. Two heads better than one, and all that.
Also, I thought this was good advice:
bearing (sorry, unintended pun) in mind that doctors are technical people who think much better in technical, concrete problem solving terms.
Anyways, I'm sorry for all that you're going through. I've had some support offered and then delayed recently. So I'm also feeling how rough it is to have some hope dangled in front of you when you don't even know if it will be successful. I think it's good that you're still trying.
Okay, too many words.
Take care.
