low dose thorazine was once used as a sleeping pill. i don't like the idea of it, but low doses of thorazine supposedly have a low TD risk. hydroxyzine helps a lot of people, and the doses for hydroxyzine vary wildly...i knew someone who was given 200mgs as a night time dose, and it seemed to help.

gabapentin? now and then doctors still use barbiturates. i had an acquaintance who was given a prescription for phenobarbital for a little while. not an ideal solution, but it did help.
