I agree that normal is arbitrary. Ok, so we have traits that most people don't have. Big deal. From a normative perspective, I am abnormal. I'm an alcoholic. I have bipolar. I'm a choir director. Have you ever met a choir director who was normal? But it's not how I choose to define myself. I define myself by my capacity to love, by my talents, by my principles, by my creativity. The cool thing about it is that you get to do it for yourself. No one gets to define you but you. The worst a person can do is limit their perception of who you are, and it still doesn't change who you really are.
