It's hard to recommend to anyone a career path or choice without having a lot of background information. I'm guessing that you may have worked with a career counselor? If not, that may be an option. Another option, and I can't think of one off the top of my head, may be an online survey that helps you determine what type of jobs you may be good at.

I've worked in a lot of areas in my life and I didn't start at my current company until I was 43 years old. I've finally worked into a position that I really like (for the most part) over the last couple years. I'm 55 now. So don't look at your age as too much of a factor. I think, sometimes, it just becomes a matter of finding a career that is bearable enough to provide enough money so that you can enjoy your time away from work.

So anyway, I guess what I'm saying is ---- it's never too late. Good luck. I hope you find a direction/job soon.
