But if you feel like it's important to you to know about yourself, then maybe make some decisions about what it means to you. And it sounds like you aren't sure how status should work in regard to how successful a person is. So maybe think about it in terms of an area that you are sure about. Like start looking at status with regard to something you feel good about to counteract any predisposition gives you to being self-critical. If you're going to judge yourself, judge yourself against your own standard. And since it's an imaginary concept, do it kindly. Why not give yourself the benefit of the doubt every chance you get.
