I can’t remember where you posted about looking for a place to stay. I remember a friend of mine looking a couple of years ago. He posted his problem to fb, and his local friends posted tips. All I can remember is that places he tried were snapped up quickly, so he had to set up some kind of alerts on sites to be able to jump on them first.

Another friend of mine posted an sos on Facebook and to everyone she knew. A friend finally helped her out. She couldn’t afford her place anymore because she had been hit by a drunk driver—she ended up disabled.

Another thought is section 8 202 housing if you qualify, but I don’t know/remember if you are working. The wait lists are long.
