It's certainly a benefit ~vs~ risk situation, but what people don't realize about side effects is that the manufacturers have to disclose EVERY SINGLE REPORTED side effect even if it can't be proven to have been actually caused by the drug.
Okay, I studied pharmacology and I admit I read the Physician's Desk Reference when researching drugs. Serious side effects from levofloxacin were reported by 0.1% ~ 1.0% of +/- 22,500,000 users in 2016.
I'd go with the benefits...
