I think its a great idea to donate it to Goodwill or Salvation Army. I think your neighbors that saw you takin the bags probably wish they would have done the same thing themselves.
After the storm, i took any type of clothes that fit. I was very thankful to the people who donated their hand me downs. When you have nothing, everything means something.
