Hi, I am new to this group. I was told I had cervical dysplasia (suspicious cells) on my cervix when I was about 25 years old. What they did was to freeze the cervix (painless) with liquid nitrogen. That killed the cells and stopped the bad pap smear results. I had no problem after this. A polyp is pretty much a benign skin tag and could be removed the same way. I know the thought of it is the worst thing, but, you will feel so much better when you just get it done and over. I told the Dr. to do that the very day he told me I had it. Boy, was I glad I did, since it stopped al my what if worries. I hope this helps.
