Several years ago I was standing with my husband in the front yard, and our teenage son was raking leaves nearby. It was a beautiful autumn afternoon. My neighbor came out to visit, a spunky elderly lady who had been my mother's best friend. She looked all around, took a deep breath and said with a smile "How can ANYONE deny the existence of God?" We agreed.

She also liked to "flirt" with my son. She said "I don't have much time left here, but I'll wait for you up there - and we'll go dancing together." She then said to him "Don't worry, I'll be young and beautiful by the time you show up for our date."
