I hope this is referring to the present and then the past? If T yelled at you, in any form or fashion, then it probably needs to be addressed!

It sounds like your teen self doesn't feel quite safe enough to speak yet. Seek an introduction type sentence that you/she can use to begin talking about the way you felt "back then" or things that occurred that (merely) upset you/her. From Ts response to those "easy" topics you will know if it's safe to test the waters with teen's feelings.
