Everytime I move I bundle up the things I'm not taking and call the Salvation Army. They come with a truck and take it, furniture, clothes, whatever. The people driving the trucks are usually people from the Adult Retention Center, and these are people often struggling with addiction. They go through a program of recovery during their stay, and get jobs like driving these trucks. So not only am I donating stuff, these people have a job. So I think what you did is the kindest thing ever!!!
