So today I was fired by one of my two substitute teacher placement agencies. The HR lady called to tell me that they got negative feedback from a teacher I subbed for, who didn't like how I managed her classroom while she was gone. I won't go into details because it's not important.
I still belong to the other substitute teacher placement agency, but this agency bought the other agency out. So, I don't know if I will lose my job with them as default? Also, I can substitute teach in other school districts that don't use either agency. But, those two districts only pay their subs once every 3 weeks instead of bi-weekly, or weekly.
I could use some ideas of what kind of jobs I should apply for. Since I had difficulty finding consistent temp work this summer, I can't rely on the temp agencies to find me something quick either. And, since I applied for emergency assistance once already, I can't anymore. I have to wait 18 months before I'd be eligible again. I'm sure I can get food stamps with no income since its income based. I'm just worried about rent, car payment, car insurance, etc. and I don't want to file bankruptcy.
I envy people who have stable, full-time jobs.
