Emgreen,

Being back in rehab is great. And I really like the changes they've made to the program - more DBT is being included. I'm also still seeing my addictions Dr. one on one for counselling and she's amazing.

My group this time is a bunch of really hardcore alcoholics/addicts - people who have lost a lot, and done a lot of damage to themselves with drinking. Most of them are older than me, and I really don't want to wind up there, so it's good motivation to.

I'm still getting cravings to drink periodically but just thinking them through to the end, is enough to deal with them pretty quickly.

I've also gone back to double recovery meetings, on top of WFS, and they're really great. I'm also thinking about giving SMART recovery meetings a try. There are a lot more of them weekly, now, than when I last looked at them.

It's pretty scary. I'm applying for disability, and so have to get copies of all my hospital records relating both to my depression and my addiction. I just got my copy of my record when I went in for detox after a very dangerous binge in 2006. It's scary to read how sick I was. If I hadn't gone in when I did, I probably wouldn't be here. Good reality check.
