Since my recent string of bad episodes my brain has been in screensaver mode much of the time. After study and work (total of 20 hours per week) my brain is fried. It is even hard to manage that 20 hours. My T and pdoc say that my brain is recovering from the stress, trauma and basic burnout from the episodes. They said it will take months for me to recover my capacity to process information.
I totally understand the need to shut out stimuli. Are you able to get some downtime where you don't have to use your brain?
