Patient assistance programs are really nice about making exceptions. I get a few meds through assistance despite having Med D and sometimes making over the limit. I just write a letter and include it with my application explaining my special circumstances and they have always approved it.

For generics Rx Outreach | Patient Assistance Program, Discount Prescription Drugs can save you a lot of money. I used them when I was uninsured and they saved me with one med that I absolutely have to have for a physical problem but which was very expensive elsewhere.
