I know where you are coming from. I've been with low self-esteem and depression for way too long as well. And the fear settles in that it's entrenched.

Hopelessness is a wretched, misbegotten creature. It doesn't deserve the space. You do.

I mean, imagine you were the therapist. Yes, there are probably people even worse off. But the person in front of you is in immense pain. So much that they don't want to go on. Would you think they weren't deserving? Would you turn them away for that? I would not. I could not.

I learned a long time ago that I can't fix the world. I can't help everyone. But I can try and do something for the person right in front of me.
