Some HR departments absolutely SUCK and side with management. That is very unfortunate yours didn't side with you. (((Hugs))))

I know it helps to feel a sense of dignity to see what could be done legally, if anything. I found in my case, that nothing legally could be done unless it was an outright case of discrimination.

Sounds like you have some good and healthy coping mechanisms -- that's great!!
