So, when I first moved to my condo.. a woman came over to me and we talked for an hour about management. She convinced me to join the board. I did. I did what she wanted on the board. (which I thought was a good idea). She got what she wanted.. I was dropped like a hot potato. I mean really shocking. I Facebook friended her months before and once the vote was held that she wanted she "unfriended" me -- even though we were still on the board!

The next year was basically me working (doing news letters etc) and them getting the benefit of my work. My term was up so I left the board. I was used... I knew it.

But of course, whomever, runs the board now has done a bad job. He is rude... mean and I have NO idea what is happening because he does not feel the need to tell the residents what is going on. In July I asked some neighbors if they wanted to get on the board and no one wanted to. But everyone agrees they dislike him.

The other day a resident called me in the parking lot to talk about it and ... here we go.

(1) She wants to have a pre annual meeting "meeting" where we talk about our plan. What plan. Just someone run with me and we will vote this guy down.
(2) We are having this meeting now and I am expected to go. I don't want to go. I hate these little dramas. Just run for the board and vote this guy down? Yet, no one wants to.

I just know... I will be assigned some jobs that THEY want... that I don't want. This seems to be a pattern. They seem to thrive on drama but not action. While I thrive on action and not drama.
