So I’m sure you are annoyed about my constant problem. Well today in iop I found out why. My goal of a perfect body is impeded by procrastination (aka fear of failure). I plan but when it comes to it I don’t cook, workout, run, Kung fu etc.
So today at iop I took perfectionism and the term procrastination to weight loss fit perfectly. I told the instructor that is me to a t. She said opposite action would work. A dbt term. She said when my anxiety rises close to liftoff time do a step at a time (or start little) such as taking a walk or lifting lifghtly.
I thought about this, can I really do it? I said to myself ok I’ll do one Muay Thai class next week and 3 lifting/running sessions. Seem reasonable?
Anybody have any insights to opposite action and how to use it?
