Eh, I can see a lot more of the cases where it was once disapearing for good if faced with death as an outcome. So yes, there might be a good outcome there. But it's a hard question between whether there would be less cases or whether people would just work harder to cover it up.
And also, in the old days, teenagers were stoned to death for being disrespectful. [sorry, I have a thing about calling up "old days" materials]
I agree that the law could use some serious work, though.
