I spent 6 years in therapy but it took a long long time before I started to trust him enough to start sharing. I think we spent a good year on learning coping strategies before delving into the bad stuff. You are welcome to Pm me if you want to know more about therapy.

I was saying it as a joke but there really is a series of therapy books for Dummies

Wow.
My problems with therapy is that it was new to me until about 4 years ago and I didn't know enough about it to ask questions. I was in such a fog I did good to find my way to the office. So it gave me a very bad impression of therapy in general as it being a waste of time and that they were not helping me enough. I still feel that way but at least now I can see it a little more clearly, and understand why the VA has such a bad name with veterans.
