About 2 years ago as a minor I was diagnosed with an eating disorder(orthorexia) although since that isn't in the DSM they just put in anorexia. I have always suffered with some other chronic health problems and pain(gastrointestinal) that affect my weight and interfered with my treatment/health because my psychologist/psychiatrist didn't believe me so I had no meds to treat it even though I had no history of abusing my meds whatsoever. He put me in the hospital I then was transferred to a Residential facility. I was treated horribly for a month in the hospital waiting on an open spot and then another month in the residential facility. I also have adhd, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, anxiety etc. a whole slew of other things that I wasn't accommodated for an was accused of faking. My family also hardly visited.
I am pretty sure I developed some sort of PTSD from this whole experience. I'm not comfortable talking to anyone my doctor, family, etc. They haven't been helpful in the past regarding my health. I also just started College and am wondering if there are any things that help you guys even a little bit?
Hello and welcome to PCeating disorders are a bear to deal with from what I've heard. You may very well developed PTSD at some point from past trauma. Reba had soem good advice in her post about reaching out to the school counselor and see what resources they may be able to direct you to. Also about the mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Look those up and see if anything really seems like it would be something you could do.

Congrats on going to school, your education is so important, very proud of you for taking that path.
Again welcome and I hope to see you around more often.
