Hi everyone. In my quest to understanding my depression/anxiety I have been doing alot of reading on these states. I have found many researchers who feel that depression is a "chemical imbalance" and yet others say that life situations caused the chemical imbalance. So, what do you think?....Is depression caused because a chemical imbalance "FIRST" takes place and secondly brings about depression, OR is it that life situations(stress, loneliness, uncertainty, financial difficulties, family struggles, past childhood experiences, etc.) COMES FIRST AND SO ALTERING OUR CHEMICALS?
