So sorry to hear this, but not shocked.
"Significant change" sounds like one of those phrases they use when they're overworked and under-resourced and trying to force people through the system.
To others who haven't experienced it... yes, they really will make the patient feel they are to blame for these things.
Fuzzy, so sorry. It's hurtful. Especially to open-hearted, sensitive people.
