You should call the retail job and ask if they still have openings. It's good to follow up with them if they don't follow up with you. Sometimes they get overly busy and just don't have time for everything. Shows you still have interest in the position.
I think it's fine that you quit on the spot. Yeah, two weeks notice is a good things, but employers never give us two weeks notice when they fire us, do they? Nope. And it's retail, people come and go quickly anyhow, right? Because you have lots of temporary workers over the holidays, etc. Try not to feel too bad about it. Two weeks notice is a courtesy, not a requirement. That's why almost all states are at-will.
