We have lots of bats here too....they fly around my woods at dusk & many people without caps on their chimney end up with a room full of them. They are so adorable. Felt so bad when one must not have had a radar that was working very well.... found it dead on the grill of my truck. I live in the middle of woods & corn fields with a creek a few hundred feet away. This is a feast area for nature including the coyotes.....I love coyotes but could sure do without their pack howl....eerie when in the field next to my house.

Coyotes are becoming a problem here again. They were in decline decades ago because farmers killed them off, then then were reintroduced out in the country to control other animals, and have flourished and found their ways back into towns. They are now taking other dogs into their packs that are willing to go. I love their howls and screams.
