Ah yes, the jumping spiders. At least they are big enoygh to see. I keep getting bit by those cellar spiders with the wispy legs & tiny body that run 100mph. I get the large wolf spiders in the house. They are usually 2"leg span & I usually find them on tbe bathroom wall at the worst possible time. The huge one in my basement was 3-31/2 " leg span right next to my dehumidifier in my basement I went down to dump. I had seen it on the wall about a month before & thoyght I had sprayed it enough to kill it but i hadnt & it was on the floor right whete I needed to be. It was so huge. I SCREAMED. theory if it scares me to death I can try to scare ut to death with my scream. If didnt die so I had to het the bug sprsy. Hobestly it is still laying on the floir whete I killed it as a warning to any othets who may think about making my basement home for the winter.
My house is so huge that spiders must lay eggs all over the pkace. Then I end up with really tiny baby spiders all over the place. If I leave a pair of shoes in my bathroom on the tile floir & move tjem the next dat, 3-4 tiny baby spiders that can hardly be seen run away across the floor...if I let them all live they would take over my house completely.
Ok another pet peve are those huge red wasps that get inside my house & are always sitting right there on something Im grabbing for to use ir move. Just lucky I do pay attention because I hav bad reactions to stinging bugs.
Speaking of stinging bugs hete in Ky, have you ever seen the girgous red velvet ant kniwn as the "cow killer"? A wingless wasp that has the worst sting possible. That is the female. The male has wings & doesnt sting at all. Lol the female makes up for her male counterpart. I have only seen the females here on my farm.
Oh, I relate to the no furniture. But I got one of those deck recliner chairs to sleep when I first moved into my house. It was the only piece of furniture I had for 5 months.. Not safe if you tip yourself over backwards.
After 8 months of that I got one of those inflatable air matresses from Walmart. That was nice. Even had a fitted sheet & down comforters. Managed to use that for several years & even through the 2009 ice storm that all 6 of my dogs wanted to share with me. Dog nails dont work well with air mattresses. It took me over 3 years before I finally hauled my brand new boxed up sleep number bed up the stairs & put it together. I went through 3 air mattresses before finally getting enough energy to deal with getting my REAL BED put together to use.
Its nice but just like the air mattress I have one side that doesnt stay inflated. I relagated that side to my dogs though when snuggling on these cold nights, forget sides...its everyone as closebtobmom as possible
