I pretty much exclusively come here and a language-learning site (if that can even be counted as a social network, since there's no "friending" or PMs) and Youtube, I guess (ditto, but to a lesser extent... or greater, depending on your interpretation, but I don't engage in the community there). I'm on a local Facebook clone, but I'm almost non-existent there...
Anyway, I've been wondering lately, what social networks people actually use, and especially which are useful, or beneficial.
I guess it might not provide a solution for me, because the networks I've already listed are probably great for some people, but kind of don't work for me, in as much as they are supposed to.
The problem is, I haven't met any really "like thinkers" if that makes sense. It's nice here, but I can only relate to people on an extremely limited range of topics and I don't expect to encounter someone like me due to my own eclectic and limited range of interests. At the same time, if I search for those interests in the wide expanse of the Internet, I find communities that are usually in a clear state of decay. In fact, I've recently discovered that several sites that I quite recently signed up to don't exist anymore.
