So hereby I offer the idea of a mental health police - parent has demotivated you to life? Penalty! Feel controlled by a spouse? Have a mental health investigator investigate the spouse and make it mandatory!

one way my family and I contain our thoughts throughout the day is writing notes to each other and placing them into a jar. At the end of the day, we read them out loud to each other. Don't be fooled, sharing emotions is difficult (for most), but an open discussion is the first step to creating personal boundaries for yourself.
