I’ve moved a lot, and your experience is not unique. People just forget about you when you move away. I’m not saying that they were right.
I’ve tried connecting on fb with people that are long-distance—they connect but then most of them ignore my posts. My coworkers from my previous job—same thing there. They used to respond to my posts when we worked together, but most of them — not anymore.. also some people quit communicating after my husband passed away. Said their piece to make themselves feel better and that was it!
My online friends that I’ve connected to on fb are more likely to respond to my posts.
