We, my daughter and I had just picked up a few bags of groceries and were standing at a open bus stop( no shelter) when the bus running late pulled up. Trying to get up the stairs with both the groceries and my bundled up daughter was a real chore and the paper bags ripped having gotten wet and soggy from standing around in the storm waiting on the bus. The driver hoped right out of his seat and Grabed my daughter plopping her on the first seat and helped me pick up all the fallen groceries then he drove around to the back of the store ran in and got more bags! There wasn't a lot of people on the bus and he said that this was the last bus cause the bus service was being suspended due to the weather. He even drove two blocks closer to my apartment so we wouldn't have to walk so far! I'll never forget that driver. Never. A huge shoutout to all bus drivers in storms, there a rare breed.

I would love to hear more stories like this. More random acts of kindness, more compassion shown to one another.
It is just so unfortunate that we hear so much of the opposite
