I finally got my promotion at work!! (It's officially in effect now, as opposed to before when I got it, but it wasn't in effect. My title changed officially.)

For those who don't know, my old boss was an asshole. He said I didn't deserve the promotion I was promised, and he gave me NO raise or bonus. Every time I showed up to a meeting 1 minute late, he took $100 off my bonus. 2 minutes was $200, and so on, even though I only came late to a few meetings due to massive snowstorms. (The other part was because I "didn't talk enough during meetings".)

In addition to that, because I finished something 1/2 a day late (and it wasn't even my fault), he said I didn't deserve my promotion. (I guess it "screwed him over"?) I'm assuming that's why I got no raise but everyone else got $3000 raise.

He then complained about my mood swings, saying that my performance "fluctuated", even though I was a top performer. (I never told him my mental health diagnoses, though. NEVER.)

My new boss said that what he did was against company policy, so he gave me back everything that was promised!! I got the raise and bonus already, but finally the promotion.
