I was wondering if anyone has read the story "The Fog Prince" by EdithTinkov? My 6 yr old son brought it home from school for a homework reading assignment . I don't want to come across as "taking things too seriously," but I was suprised that the author conveyed in the story that "disobeying is ok and it pays off." I know it's just a story but i cannot help thinking, "why couldn't the princess obey her dad and then her good behavior lead to the prince of her dreams." Instead, she disobeyed, threw a fit and abused an animal then was rewarded by meeting the man of her dreams. Anyone else find it odd and and a rather poor choice for assigned reading?
