I would agree with your therapist. I think hearing voices would get in the way. I would talk to her more about it, and about the trust issues you are having. You’ve been seeing her for a long time, and I would think she’d be open to talking with you about it. There’s nothing wrong with second guessing your therapists opinion. It just sounds like you have a good relationship with her, and it would be best to talk with her about it than to get a second opinion from someone else who doesn’t know you.
