Have you tried any other self-help tools for coping with anxiety such as exercise, meditation, deep breathing, listening to relaxing music, taking a hot bath, reading, etc? Medication can definitely help during those intense times but there are many things you can do to ease the anxiety if meds are not available to you.

I did some exercise Wednesday night, and I felt great overall directly following it. I enjoy listening to music, it's just that sometimes music irritates my anxiety for some reason, so that can be distressing. I also enjoy reading, but it's sometimes harder to concentrate on the reading.
I was on Busiprone for two weeks, but it did not help me at all so I was taken off of it.
