one of the things i have found to help me is to picture a wave... and how the surge gets really strong...but right after it breaks...the surge subsides and things are calm for a bit... cutting is kind of like that, for me anyway... it seems like right when it gets the worst... the wave brakes on the shore and then it calms ... i grew up on the beach in ca and there is a popular surfers spot called the wedge... it is very dangerous...but very popular... the waves break on the shore... and many...many surfers have been seriously injured there... that's how my urges get sometime... sometimes the are calm... but other times they are shore breakers...right now mine are shore breakers... but i know that this will only last a short time and then the tide will calm and ... i hope you can ride the wave and let it suck you back to the calm...stay safe...lyn
