Hello everyone.... I’m really struggling tonight.
I started Zoloft 25mg last Oct for SAD. Over time my new pdoc increased it to 50mg, 75mg then 100mg. I started having bad side effects so I asked to be taken off. My pdoc said take 50mg for 3 or 4 days. Then take 25mg for 3 or 4 days.
I did exactly what she said. Last Sunday I started getting flu-like symptoms and dizziness. I made an appt to see the pdoc and it’s next Monday. Today I started having electric shock sensations and headaches along with the other symptoms. I called my pdoc’s office. They had an answering service but no pdoc on call. I left my contact info. I called my pharmacy and spoke with the pharmacy. She said I was tapered off too quick. The pharmacist suggested I take 50mg Zoloft for one week then 25mg for another week. I have some left so I fixed my pillbox for a week. I’m just so disappointed in her. She’s new to the agency and my initial pdoc left. My body is actually going through withdrawal. I just had to chat about this to someone.
