[QUOTE=will19;5903886]That pretty much sounds like me. I live alone and keep myself busy. I had lived with other people in the past and didn't like it that much. But, that's just me. One time I heard someone say, "if you like being alone, then you never had a good relationship". I wonder if there's some real truth in that?
Will19,
That's an interesting thing to hear, what someone told you "If you like being alone, then you never had a good relationship". Although it may be common sense, considering that enjoying solitude means that one doesn't possess social skills, I think that I am one of the exceptions. Being alone allowed me to be way more social, hence that, by having the time on my own, I can replenish my energies, being more confident and open to the others. I was never good at relationships while I was living with others, whereas now at least the ones with my family and friends improved 100%.
Regardless, a person should never be completely isolated, we never know the day after, and like you mentioned that you were in a hospital, that's when we realize our dependence and how fragile and vulnerable we are. I hope you are doing much better by the way.
Be well.
