I'm in the same boat lately and my therapist is also suggesting mindfulness and meditation. I just don't feel up for meditating lately. What helps is identifying when those thoughts come into your head try to push them aside.
At work its so much harder to do. But I've been trying to keep busy at work in order to not think about how much I hate it.
